About BCC Membership

New Members: See the How to Join Instructions below.

The Boston Camera Club (BCC) membership for a one-year term. In addition to the club’s regularly scheduled activities of photo competitions with insight from professional judges, photo education, field trips, inter-club competitions, special interest groups, and critiques the club membership provides a community with which to share your enthusiasm and passion for photography. Many events start with social time to allow for interaction with other members and ask questions.

Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced photographer, you’ll find events and programs to meet your interests.

Other benefits include:

  • BCC Reflector newsletter: a monthly newsletter informing members of upcoming events, member shows, judge tips, special photo programs, and winning images from the club’s competitions and special events

  • Monthly Print and Projected Image competitions where each submitted image is critiqued by a professional photographer. Each competition includes a presentation by the evening's judge.

  • Monthly Photo Critiques: a small group setting where members critique other members' images; plus an opportunity to learn more about Lightroom

  • Model Studio nights: a studio setting with lighting, backgrounds, and models

  • A listing of other photographic competition opportunities in the New England area

  • Opportunity to attend the New England Camera Club Council annual summer conference (NECCC) held in Amherst, MA

  • Discounts at various photography stores and businesses.
