Field Trip: Fall Colors Photo Walk at Mount Auburn Cemetery

The event was held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Join fellow photographers for a casual fall foliage walk through Mount Auburn Cemetery, one of the most beautiful spots in the area to catch peak color.

We'll meet at the main entrance on Mount Auburn Street on Saturday October 17th, from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, when the light is softest and the paths are still quiet.  From there, we'll make our way past Willow Pond for reflections and layered color, then up toward Auburn Lake and Washington Tower for sweeping views over the canopy — though feel free to wander off and explore side paths at your own pace.  Bring a tripod if you want to catch the ponds at their stillest, and pack a range of lenses, from wide for the landscapes to something longer for compressed shots through the trees.  Since Mount Auburn is an active cemetery, we ask everyone to be mindful of visitors and any services taking place, and to check current visitor guidelines if you're bringing extra gear like lighting equipment. Afterward, we'll grab coffee nearby to compare shots and swap notes — bring your favorites to share, or post them to our group album using our event hashtag.  All skill levels welcome; come for the company, stay for the color.  Dress in layers, it might get chilly.
