The Boston Camera Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of photography as an art and science. Club activities are held throughout the year while regular monthly meetings are from September through June. Programs are planned to interest all photographers, from beginners to skilled artisans. Guests and prospective members are welcome at any of the club's meetings. |

Kodak has announced that after 74 years, Kodachrome slide film will no longer be manufactured. To honour Kodachrome's retirement from their film lineup, the company has posted a slideshow of pictures shot with the iconic emulsion and taken by Eric Meola, Steve McCurry and Peter Guttman. |
Bob Glassman receives the President's Award. For his years of outstanding and dedicated service to the Boston Camera Club and with the gratitude of the entire membership, Bob was given the President’s Award at the club's year end business meeting. Among his many vital services and works, Bob publishes the Reflector, manages all aspects of membership, created and maintains the club’s photography library and hold office and membership in the Executive Committee. In the receiving the award Bob said: “Thank you for this award. It has always been a labor of love for me to use whatever talent I may have for the Boston Camera Club. I will continue to do all that I can in this effort until age or infirmity slows me down.”

We’re happy to announce the formation of our online community at Flickr, the world’s largest photo sharing site. Akshat Gupta and Nancy Capaccio created the BCC Flickr site and are the BCC Flickr Administrators. BCC Flicker will provide a venue for members to post photos and engage each other, share photographs and ideas, and learn from each other. For example, it can be used to easily share images from field trips and Model Studio shoots, ask questions and offer advice, critique and help. The BCC Member Gallery is open for business, show your photos online for all to see... You have space for about 33-66 photos, depending on your photo file size. Recommend 72 dpi, 650 pixel width, jpg compression 8 produces files that looks good on the site. Max file size for upload is 300 kb.
