Digital Education

Digital Education Group (DEG) Meeting,
Tuesday February 26, 2008
Social 7:00 pm –7:30 pm
Program begins 7:30 pm, Simon Pang - Presenter

This meeting will demonstrate the workflow and processing of digital images that will be made by you at the Model Studio Photo Meeting on February 19.

Attend the Model Studio Photo Meeting, make your RAW images, pick your best two shots and bring the digital files on a CD (without any adjustments) to the 2/26 DEG meeting.

Simon Pang will choose one or two images from among those brought to this DEG meeting to work on and he will demonstrate his “magic” in bringing out the best in them.

BCC member Erik Gehring presenting first in a series of member's photo essays.

Erik Gehring's growth as a photographer has closely
paralleled his work in the Arnold Arboretum, dating
back to 2005 when he first started visiting the park
specifically to visually document its varied flora.
This essay will focus on Erik's approach to
image-making in the Arboretum and the technical
decisions employed to describe particular subjects,
using examples from his extensive Arboretum portfolio.

Erik had a show at the Hunnewell Building in the
winter of 2008, and he's currently selling a 2009
calendar of images from the Arboretum entitled 'Trees
of Boston'.
